Ruby Tuesday ~ Elephants in Red Costume
>> Monday, May 24, 2010
Continue from our walk in the event for the King, each Province brought their symbol to present. And these elephants came from Ayuttaya, our former capital. All soldiers wearing in red as same as my previous post in Museum Siam.
More of elephants, and you also can see ton of people standing aside.
They are jokers, but so cute with their funny big mask.

What a mighty sight. Can anything be more impressing than this parade; elephants and soldiers in red and gold.
I hope for the best for all of you, indeed, I do.
What a wonderful spectacle - Thailand is one of my very favorite places on earth, I can't wait until I have the chance to return again (and this time with a better camera!) Funny that you mention both Ayuttaya and elephants in this post - I nearly collided with a group of (tourist-carrying) elephants in a roundabout there. Scared the daylights out of me LOL.

I've entered a major international photo competition (details are on my blog) and would be most grateful if you'd click through and rate my portfolio (just click on the stars at the bottom (preferably the 5th star - "fantastic" - LOL), easy peasy, no registration or personal details needed). Thanks so much!
The elephants are wonderfully regal-looking animals!
wow, that looks like a great event. Happy RT!
Nice choices for Ruby Tuesday. And the second person I've seen who featured elephants!
Looks like everybody has his/her own celebration now a days. It's very great to see different countries or towns celebrating and commemorating their tradition. Happy RT!

Wanna try riding elephants in Ayuddhya one day. My kids were so scared before so I didn't insist. Now that they're older, they wish to try it soon.
Thanks for the visit.
